I was just a little boy from a little town

In my mind I saw the many valiant hearts

They held on to their dreams and never once fell apart

Like superheroes standing tall

They're unbreakable

But beneath the moonlight you could see their hearts breaking down

The rise and fall of hope has never made a sound

Far beyond the setting crimson sun

Never meant to be easy

When you're trying to be

More than ordinary

And ten years later I found myself in front of a crowd

They look to me for hope to end their burning doubt

And their prayers guide me as I swim amongst the shooting stars
