A memory

That's all I have left

Just a memory

And I'm thinking

Of how it can end

Tell myself it's all in the past

And in time it will mend

Those good times

I always compare to the bad times

And I'll never have

'Cause to pretend

That the joy and

The pain were so real

Counting those years were

Like days so it seems

Images flashing as

If they were all dreams

And slowly

I'll come face to face

With a memory

Conversations that never

Will end without tears

The nights turn to dawn and years

And I look for

The comforts in faces

Gazing the old times

And places

And for a moment

Wish I left them alone

And sometimes

Those clouds that

Surround me are clearing

And I see for myself

What I've missed all the time
