The IRON MIC NEW ERA WARRIOR compilation album features a new generation of rappers rising in China! Who will be the next of the New Era to reach the highest level of Hip Hip supremacy? 

Executive produced by Showtyme, who was fortunate to pair the greatest Chinese American Hip Hop producer—Scott “Chops” Jung—with some of the most talented up and coming Chinese  IRON MIC affiliated rappers. 

Inspired by Bruce Lee’s script for the series Warrior, a HBO Max martial arts crime drama that is executive produced by Bruce’s daughter, Shannon Lee, this compilation includes songs that are being considered for Season 3 of Warrior.

The album blurs the line between the action-packed life in San Francisco’s Chinatown in the 1880’s and the tumultuous twists and turns of contemporary life. The album explores some of the most controversial topics that only Hip Hop has the courage and capacity to address; greed, money, crime, loyalty, brotherhood, ethnic tensions, sinophobia, violence and freedom. 

The rappers on this compilation range the gamut of legendary OG’s like Beijing’s C.Jam to relentlessly up-and-coming artists like 穿校服的饶舌歌手牛牛. Over two dozen rappers from across China and abroad including Blessing Kid, Lil Mizy, VI艾雯, Kada C, Young Peach, 包经理  Manager Bag, Rum D, 周越Zyue, RixatMax and Smo to name a few. All of these MCs represent the spirit of Bruce Lee in Chinese rap. They are the truest Warriors that I know in the world of Chinese Hip Hop, and this is by far the greatest story ever told via the art form and culture that Showtyme helped to bring to China over two decades ago.

Scott “CHOPS” Jung is a pioneering music maker whose multi-instrument style helped his group Mountain Brothers become the first Asian American rap group signed to a major label. His productions list many of hip-hop’s biggest and most respected artists (Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Raekwon, Talib Kweli, E-40, Ice Cube, Snoop, Bun B, Key Glock, YFN Lucci).
