I Believe in Music

For my 7th birthday

I was given a CD player

And I'd play Cat Stevens again and again and again

My dad listened to Coldplay

But I'd always ask him

To play Paul Kelly again and again and again

I remember one Christmas eve

My uncle brought his guitar and he

Showed me how to play

I played until my fingers bled

And my mum sent me off to bed

The next day Santa brought me own guitar
