Members: Ahmet Tan, Markus Schäfer   re|work was found in the summer of 1999 by Ahmet Tan and Markus Schäfer. Both being interested in electronical music led them to this unique sound. The tracks are being written by leadsinger Ahmet Tan. Markus Schäfer is mostly involved in the production- and programming-process.   Yet before creating own songs they contributed remixes to various bands like Ravenous and Lights of Euphoria. Ahmet Tan also sung the last Lights of Euphoria single "Fortune Teller". The last remix done produced by the duo is Funker Vogts "Black Hole" which has only been released in the U.S.A.   In November 1999 re|work decided to unite studios together with Funker Vogt and thereby improved the working conditions of both groups. Later within the production period they managed to sign a record deal with Bloodline.   Now they have released a single named "To our Remains" which was followed by the fulltime-album "Impulse" on April 30th 2001.   "New Forms of Electronic Body Music" was the first compilation that featured a song by re|work. Other samplers that include songs by them are "Clubline Vol. 2", "Access [One]" and "Best of Electronic Music Vol. 3". Besides that they are also represented on two french music-magazine-cds, "Elegy" and "D-Side".   Their first live concert took place in Luzern as a support act for Funker Vogt. On stage they appear as a band formed of three members with Christian Matyszok, who supports the band live by playing additional keyboard parts. re|work also opened for Decoded Feedback on their European tour in 2001 and will support Noisex this year on their last tour. re|work faced their largest audience on the 10th "Wave-Gotik-Treffen" (Juli 1st - Juli 4th 2001).
