Cheru's new project is titled "Melody".

Embracing encounters with people, things, the melodies that flow naturally, and the precious moments that transition and transform - I feel these and capture them into music.

Today leads to someday, and you connect with me in various ways.

As I live, I lightly preserve the fleeting moments of encounters.
I hope you'll listen to these messages of the seasons.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.

This is a tale about Japan's lovely four seasons and a family that relocated to a hilly town named Biei-cho in Hokkaido.
The family runs a delightful restaurant and a photography studio that have been passed down through generations.
How can we look at the world and make lives more colorful? Everything is just right there, in harmony with nature.
Mam said, "Hold things close to find satisfaction. A mother hugs her child and herself."
A time to be lively and a time to be quiet.
Each has its own rhythm and waves.
In the same way, the wind blows over the open hills of the heart.
One step at a time, beyond the point of your eyes

Breathe

CHERU's first solo album is completed.
She spent one month in the small village located at the edge of Kanagawa Prefecture, where is rich in nature.
She kept singing every day and recorded 12 beautiful songs.

It is very hard to understand this unclear world. 
CHERU tried to connect the past and the present.
Some songs were born when she was active as PoPoyans,
and some songs are just written in these several days.
This first solo album is completed for the first time in seven years after the PoPoyans days.

Her heart was moved by the things, creatures living in the forest, the wonderful short time between spring and summer, and a big star rising and shining in total darkness - things that are always there but just not noticing. The sound of her gut guitar and her voice resonated with each other, connecting with these invisible things.
 
These songs were crafted because of this time and place.

The new album titled " Omamori "
will be gently close to your heart  when you take a step toward the future.
