The empowering message of “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s wife” from LE SSERAFIM’s first studio album UNFORGIVEN is sweeping across Korea, rising to top 5 on local streaming charts one month after its release since the music video was revealed. Now the quintet makes another bold statement ‘I wish for what is forbidden to me’ to the world with an English version of the track. The English lyrics, personally translated from Korean into English by HUH YUNJIN, the all-rounder of the five-piece act, define the members’ own growth throughout the track, conferring significance to the idea of breaking taboos to move beyond what is laid out for them. Taboos, which can be seen as a relatively heavy subject, are eased into music and unraveled with alluring sounds of Jersey Club rhythm. LE SSERAFIM chose “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s wife (English Ver.)” to be their very first all-English track in the group’s incomparable career path, and it shows they are unafraid to show their ambition to move beyond to a world that is not yet on the maps.
