kiwa will release a new single 'Tingling In The Rain' .

This song was written, composed, and sung by kiwa based on an idea played by guitarist YH on his guitar. kiwa also sampled the sounds of falling water drops herself, showing her commitment to the world of rain. Mixing and mastering was done by Takamaru MIX, and the jacket was designed by Pon.

The lyrics describe the feelings of a man who spends his nights alone in agony, feeling a desire for control and sexual urges toward the woman of his dreams who has a dazzling smile. He selfishly wishes to be accepted by her to boost his self-esteem and heal his own loneliness, even though his impulsive and self-indulgent behavior would deeply hurt her.
The discrepancy between the too-serious theme and the pop tune is said to express his childish and eerie psychology, which is unable to take his own culpability seriously no matter how long it takes.

Shin:e

A new single "REAL", a collaboration between kiwa and Shin:e, will be released.

Shin:e created the track for this song, then kiwa wrote the lyrics and melody, and kiwa sang this song herself. This is the first collaboration between the two, but Shin:e was willing to accommodate kiwa's request and was even more tactful. Shin:e mixed and mastered this song, and kiwa and Pon created the music video and cover.

Backed by Shin:e's cool, yet somehow endearing and warm sounds, kiwa expresses a feeling of modern-day entrapment in a sometimes raw way. The "you" that kiwa sings about in her lyrics seems to refer to young people living in today's IT society. They are deprived of their physicality, yet blood is indeed gushing from their wounds. What can the adults, who have become like creatures completely different from them, do for them? 
In the music video, the disparate worlds are haphazardly connected, but perhaps this is the antithesis of the idea that all of them, virtual or robotic, are their "reality".

REAL

kiwa will release a new single / Matoigoi' on  October 28.

kiwa developed some images after reading a tragic love poem written by film director Mai Ando and composed this song in three days. She altered Mai's poem into her lyrics and sang the song herself. Recording studio sloppy doggy did the vocal recording, mixing and mastering, and designer Pon designed this jacket.

This song is mainly composed of loops of each instrumental performance, but it wears a gentle and nostalgic mood throughout the song without feeling monotonous. Despite the lilting melody that sounds as if it is skipping, the lyrics start with a restrained emotion towards this love. The strong emotions become open in the chorus, and in no time at all, the song ends and we are left behind. It is as fantastic as smoke.

matoigoi

kiwa and Tatsu will release a new single 'Akizora/Fall Sky' .

kiwa and Tatsu, who were both college students, composed this song together. Tatsu, who had been highly skilled at playing acoustic guitar since that time, was attracted to the distinctive voice of kiwa, who was singing at an event held by the university's light music clubs, and approached her. On a hilltop in Kanazawa, an old town in Japan Tatsu played the guitar backing, and kiwa instantly hummed the melody, so this song was born in an instant. The two performed it together at a competition, winning awards and being invited to perform at local events.

After graduation, kiwa moved to Tokyo and Tatsu moved to Toronto to do their respective jobs. Some time later, in 2022, kiwa proposed to Tatsu that they remake this song and make it into a soundtrack. They improved the song using each other's current sensibilities, but the lyrics remained the same as they were at that time. kiwa created the vocal melody and lyrics, Tatsu played guitar, created the track, mixed, and mastered it, and the jacket was designed by designer Pon.

Tatsu, who has been familiar with Western music for many years since his young days in Japan, has evolved his skills in recent years, and his new sound of this song has a Japanese flavor, nostalgic for the Japanese, but certainly new to the music scene worldwide. The lyrics, which are depressive, sad, and terribly serious to call them love and romance, reveal a strong narrative side of kiwa who appears to be an ordinary person. Her straight voice is so clear that it evokes our own deepest memories.
