Nighttime

Snoozing in my ear

Knock knock get clear

Frail legs hand grabs

Scrolling down through the chats

Shouldn't be like this

I've been taught how to live

Well at least if I wish

To feel peaceful more bliss

Cause I can't keep

Trying to make it through the mornings

Could embrace it but it's daunting

What happens to my brain at night

Wake up tired

Nighttime excites me

Then morning strikes me

I slowly refresh when I should get back to bed

Fully charged while asleep

Sounds neat

But I'm filled with fatigue

On repeat on repeat

Always been like this

And yet somehow I've lived

Got it done

But the way that I did wasn't fun

Cause I can't keep

Doin' work all night until it's morning
