Spent his early years.

Growing up in Exeter, a small town in southwest Britain,

Chris Martin cut the singing bug as a child.

After hearing Freddie Mercury on his radio.

When he was 13,

his parents bought him the first guitar while on vacation in Venice.

That wasn't long before he started to write his own songs.
