Chapter 1 (口白)

There's got to be more to Coldplay than meets the eye.

In a few short years,

They have gone from a college band in London to international super star.

Their music has found appealed by huge audience all around the world.

Their albums, sell in the millions,

And they continue to break new ground in their music.

All this, from a group of guys who are barely in their twenties.

山芋It's..It's uh, flattering you know?

We also got a little bad things said about us,

But, at the end of the day,

We are just a band, you know,

It's..We're not as important as other things in the world,

You know, so we don't really care about what people say.

It's great when they like us, but, you know,

If we got worried everytime someone wrote something bad about us,

Would be pointless, because, you know,

Music is one of life's pleasure, isn't it?

There's much more important things to worry about.

I think what makes Coldplay a good band,

Is firstly the high standard that they've set for themselves.

They're unwilling to release anything that they wouldn't buy themselves.

So that they're not gonna succumb to pressure from record companies,

Just to put something out for the sake for it.

As soon as they play of their lyrics,

Everyone can relate to them, not just in the UK,

But over across in America as well.

Chris's got a great voice that really stands out,

It's completely unique.

Then they have respect for their fans,

Which is why they won't put out anything just for the sake of releasing anything.

And also there's the global appeal.

山芋Well first of all we thought why won't us being a band?

Then we thought why won't us get record deal?

Then we thought why won't us be, like bon jovi or something?

Best band in the world..

We've done one and two, so we're still working on the third aim.
