Foul Monday

Live from New York's most notorious projects is Hip-hop's newest phenom, Foul Monday. Foul Monday's journey into music began at an early age when he used to see his uncle, jazz percussionist Andre Cyrille, perform free concerts in Central Park. His astonishment with his uncle prowess on the drums and the crowds reaction to his music served as a catalyst for Foul's interest in performing live. Fast forward years later to his adolescent years, his interest in music was reignited in junior high school when met his future band mate and friend Starvin B. Starvin was, at the time, a rare commodity. Being of the Irish and Indonesian persuasion, it was this seemingly unlikely lyrical titan that helped Foul realize that its was a rap career that he wanted to persue. Pushing him to be better and think outside of the box, Starvin's push helped Foul become the artist he is today, and to this day, Foul cites Starvin B as his biggest musical influence. It was around this time that some of his neighborhood peers decided to form a rap group, The Killa Kidz. Foul wasn't part of the original group, which consisted of Killa Sha(Killa #1), Superb M.C.(Killa Duece), The 3rd Surgeon(Killa #3), Baby Sham(Killa #4), Mr. Challace(Killa#5) and Mr. Ruc(Da Jackel), but was later integrated after Sham's aquisition to the Flipmode Squad by hip-hop superstar Busta Rhymes. It was being part of the Killa Kidz that helped Foul realize his potential. His run with the group didn't result in any major deals, but it helped him establish a reputation for being a dope emcee beyond his hood. The group eventually split due to creative differences, but that didn't stop Foul's mission to become a superstar. He continued to work as a solo artist. Trying to create a buzz for himself using the knowledge and tools he aquired while being a member of the Killa Kidz. It was this effort that lead to the meeting between him and up and coming hip-hop impersario, Lakey da Kidd. It was Lake who gave Foul his first bit of light.
