DR Pigekoret成立于1938年，演唱曲目以丹麦传统音乐为主。只有一个安徒生在写丹麦童话，但有N个丹麦本土作曲家为合唱团创作或改编各种美妙动听的合唱曲。丹麦广播电台每天的午间新闻之前，就专门是DR Pigekoret的合唱音乐时段，几乎每一个丹麦国民都听过她们的歌声！每年，合唱团还会在国内外举行超过60场专场音乐会，成为丹麦传统音乐文化的普及大使。
