法国浪漫派作曲家法兰克（Cesar Franck，1822~1890）是归化法国的比利时人，除了创作之外，还是一位优秀的管风琴演奏家；他的音乐风格不同于白辽士，不过管弦乐法受白辽士的影响；和声则追随华格纳的处理方式；他也热心教育，因此以他为中心便形成了一个乐派，影响法国的音乐界。
