法国指挥家、大提琴演奏家。1958年出生于早年随卡昂（Caen）。早年在卡昂学习音乐，后在巴黎随纳瓦拉（Andre Navarra）学习大提琴，并于1974年获巴黎音乐学院大奖。此后又在维也纳随哈农库特（Nikolaus Harnoncourt）、在布鲁塞尔随萨瓦利深造。之后曾在维也纳音乐协奏团（Vienna Concentus Musicus）、Hespérion XX 、古乐学会乐团演奏大提琴。1984年自己组建了莫赛克乐团（Ensemble Mosaiques），但乐团次年解散，他部分弦乐演员组成了知名的莫赛克四重奏（Quatuor Mosaiques）。1991年，应聘为利摩日巴洛克乐团指挥。
