Thank You, Daft Punk!
After almost 3 decades of making music, the power duo Daft Punk announces their split.
It's such a sad, sad day for music lovers from all around the world when the iconic Parisian duo, who are also behind some of the most popular dance & pop songs, announced their split. The news went viral shortly after a video entitled 'Epilogue' was uploaded on their official YouTube channel.
In the clip, both Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (in their robot costumes of course) was seen bidding farewell to each other in a desert after one of them took off his jacket, which reveals what it seems to be a bomb located on his back. When the device was activated, the strapped member slowly walked away to a safe distance before blowing up into pieces (slow-mo) and the video shifts into a sunset with Daft Punk’s “Touch” track accompanying.
What's next for the duo?
As of now, there are no official report or statement made by the two French music guru in regards to their future plans yet. It's safe to say we will have to wait (patiently) & see what the future holds for Bangalter and de Homem-Christo and us (the fans of course). Meantime, thank you Daft Punk for all the songs you have blessed our ears with throughout the 28 years of your career.
