Single "Career feat. KIKUMARU" Liner Notes

We are excited to announce the release of the single "Career feat. KIKUMARU"! ROU, a singer-songwriter and producer from Kumamoto Prefecture, is back with a new track after about a year, collaborating with a hot producer at the center of Hip Hop culture and featuring a special guest.

The producer for this track is TOMi, a DJ and music producer from Okinawa, who is also known for producing the hit single "Without You" by singer-songwriter Yo-Sea.

Joining ROU on this track is KIKUMARU, a former member of the hip-hop group KANDYTOWN, which unfortunately disbanded in 2023. KIKUMARU's participation brings a wonderful fusion of Hip Hop and RnB elements to the song.

The track features a chill vibe that perfectly matches the nostalgic atmosphere of the sunset hours. It incorporates emotional lyrics that reflect ROU's career journey, creating a smooth sound that transcends genres.

This song marks an important step for ROU as he elevates his artistry to new heights. With an album release planned for later this year, we encourage everyone to keep an eye on ROU's future activities!

Disry

Disry, who has steadily built his career by traveling from Shikoku to Okinawa to Kanto, and KIKUMARU, who has gained support from his hometown of Tokyo by touring all over Japan, met in Tokyo while following different paths, and this EP describes their feelings of survival against the coldness of the city.

All beats are produced by K.E.M., who also did additional arrangements for KANDYTOWN's "LOCAL SERVICE" in the past.

All production was done at KICK'S CLUB HOUSE with engineer Lil May handling the recording, mixing and mastering. 

Guest artists include SKRYU, MuKuRo and KWISEON.

The music video for the track "Treasure feat. SKRYU" will be released on Disry's YouTube channel on Wednesday, July 17th at 21:00 Japan time.

Chase

Disry, who has steadily built his career by traveling from Shikoku to Okinawa to Kanto, and KIKUMARU, who has gained fame by traveling around the country from his hometown of Tokyo, crossed paths in Tokyo while following different paths, and the song "Concrete Gray" describes their feelings of survival against the coldness of the city. 

The beat was produced by K.E.M., who also did the additional arrangements for KANDYTOWN's "LOCAL SERVICE".
