BEAST在今年年底终于带来首支原创日文单曲，<Sad Movie>为伤感的中板舞曲。<クリスマスキャロルの頃には (Christmas Carol Goro niwa)>则是翻唱稲垣润一1992年的畅销金曲。

BEAST第3张正规专辑《Highlight》于7月4日正式发行，是继2013年发布第2张正规专辑《Hard to love, How to love》后，BEAST时隔3年再次推出的正规专辑。
《Highlight》共收录了12首歌曲，其中包含了主打曲《Ribbon》、龙俊亨、梁耀燮和孙东云的solo曲，还有斗俊&起光合唱的曲。
主打歌《Ribbon》是一首R&B歌曲，由龙俊亨与金泰洙组成的作曲团队Good Life制作完成，把与分手恋人的关系比喻成松开的纽扣。歌名《Ribbon》既有蝴蝶结的含义，同时还隐含Re born（重生）的意思。
6月27日奇袭公开的先行曲《Butterfly》，是一首将柔和人的钢琴旋律和原声吉他相融合，加上五名成员创造出的充实的和声，能将感动传递给大家的正统抒情曲，歌词里将离开的恋人比作挥舞着美丽翅膀飞走的蝴蝶，细腻动人的歌词令人印象深刻。该曲由成员BEAST龙俊亨及音乐人DAVII共同作词作曲完成。

After the 8th mini album 'YeY' released in summer of 2015, BEAST come back in the 3rd album for the first time in one year [Highlight]. BEAST 3rd album boosts the expectations for the album in the prologue video, published before the album is attracting the topic. This album was filled with emotional ballads and powerful dance of only BEAST’s.

The title song 'Ribbon' is a co-produced song by team 'Good Life', which has been working together for a long time Jun Hyung Yong and Tae Ju Kim. Lyrics is very impressive, because it expressed in ribbons unraveling the relationship between the lovers got away. Vintage violin sound is perfectly fit and BEAST’s sorrow singing voice, inspirational. The music video published right after 'Butterfly' ahead of the album, produced by Won Ki Hong director of Zanybros and is able to feel almost like short omnibus movie.
No. 1 track of the album 'Highlight' is exquisite wild vocal rhythm and members that have been abstinence powerful, and go crazy hook is impressive song. ‘Highlight’ shows new-charm of BEAST has been unveiled until now. 'Butterfly', expressed a distant lover with butterfly, is a song that was working once again with DAVII who participated in the solo project single Jun Hyung Yong, beautiful piano melody and acoustic guitar sound is a very similar to the lyrics. ‘Practise’ impressive song with the synthesizer sound of the second half and the groove beat, is R&B·Dance song, and had been made Yo Seop Yang and Gyuberlake. The lyrics of ‘practise’ is process one man’s heart, want to get a girl be love, cool and pleasantly. Repeatedly guitar loop and sweet piano melody that is 'When I...' fascinating is, it is the song, which can taste a dreamy atmosphere. 'Curious' is a song that Gi Kwang Lee participated in the composer and lyricist, and the song of the unique feels that a rhythm different in another section. Lyrics is impressive that expresses a man’s thought that to know from A to Z about his favorite girl.  Not only ‘Found you’, a solo song of Jun Hyung Yong, ‘Baby it’s you’, special unit song of Gi Kwang Lee& Du Jun Yoon, were unveiled at <2015 Beautiful show>, a lot of fans are waiting for, but also ‘I’ll give you my all’, recorded on Dong Woon Son’s Japan album, include on this album. Yo Seop solo song Yang 'With Me' is, say the song made for the fans, the acoustic pop song. It was represented by sweet feeling lyrics of the process to confess to a favorite woman. Lyrics of feeling that whisper love is attractive 'Lullaby' to lover, the arrangement that was expressed in the minimalist is the song of impressive Gi Kwang Lee.

귀와 마음을 묶어줄 타이틀 곡 ‘리본(Ribbon)’으로 돌아온 비스트의 정규 3집 [Highlight]

지난 2015년 여름, 미니앨범 8집 ‘예이(YeY)’ 이후, 1년만에 세 번째 정규 앨범 [Highlight]로 돌아온 비스트. 앨범 발매 전에 공개된 프롤로그 영상이 화제를 불러일으키며 앨범에 대한 궁금증과 기대감을 증폭시키며 역대급이라 호평받은 이번 앨범은 비스트 특유의 감성적인 발라드와 파워풀한 댄스곡까지 모두 담긴 꽉 찬 앨범이다.

타이틀 곡 ‘리본(Ribbon)’은 오랫동안 호흡을 맞춰온 용준형, 김태주 공동 프로듀싱팀 Good Life의 곡으로 헤어진 연인과의 관계를 풀어진 리본에 빗대어 애틋한 마음을 섬세하게 표현한 가사가 돋보인다. 곡의 메인 라인으로 쓰인 빈티지한 바이올린 사운드가 멤버들의 애절한 보이스와 어우러져 쓸쓸한 감성을 더욱 극대화 시켜 오랫동안 여운을 남게 한다. 이번 뮤직비디오는 앨범 발매 전, 선 공개한 ‘Butterfly’에 이어 쟈니브로스의 홍원기 감독이 연출을 맡아 비스트만의 감성을 잘 녹여내어 한 편의 짧은 옴니버스 영화를 연상케 한다.

앨범의 첫 번째 트랙 ‘하이라이트(Highlight)’는 파워풀하면서도 절제된 리듬과 비스트 멤버들의 와일드한 보컬이 곡의 분위기를 더욱 고조시킨 중독성 짙은 후크가 인상적인 곡으로, 그 동안 비스트가 선보였던 곡들과는 차별화 된 또 다른 매력이 돋보인다. 
떠나가는 연인을 날아가는 나비로 묘사한 ‘Butterfly’는 지난 용준형의 첫 솔로 프로젝트 싱글에 함께한 다비(DAVII)가 참여한 곡으로 잔잔한 피아노 선율과 어쿠스틱 기타소리가 노래의 가사가 담고 있는 감정을 더욱 극대화 시킨다. 
그루브한 비트에 후반에 나오는 경쾌한 신스가 인상적인 R&B 댄스 곡 ‘연습 중’은 양요섭과 Gyuberlake가 함께 작업한 곡으로 한 남자가 본인이 좋아하는 여자를 쟁취하겠다는 내용의 곡이다. 진지하면서도 유쾌한 남성미가 느껴지는 가사가 인상적이다. 
반복되는 기타 루프와 감미로운 피아노 선율이 인상적인 ‘When I…’는 몽환적인 분위기를 느낄 수 있는 곡이다. 
‘궁금해’는 이기광이 작사, 작곡에 참여했으며, 섹션 별로 다른 리듬으로 구성되어 독특한 분위기를 자아내는 곡이다. 그녀에 대해 하나부터 열까지 모든 것이 궁금한 남자의 심정이 표현된 가사가 특징적이다. 
[2015 Beautiful show]에서 처음 공개되어 많은 팬들이 기다려왔던 용준형의 솔로 곡 ‘Found you’와 이기광&윤두준의 스페셜 유닛 곡 ‘Baby it’s you’를 비롯하여, 손동운이 직접 작사한 솔로 곡 ‘I’ll give you my all’은 손동운의 일본 앨범에 수록된 곡으로 이번 앨범에 정식 음원으로 수록되며 기다려온 팬들의 기대감과 만족도를 높였다. 
양요섭의 솔로 곡 ‘나와’는 어쿠스틱 한 팝 장르로, 팬들을 위해 준비한 달달한 노래이며 제목처럼 너와나 그리고 지금 나와 라는 중의적인 표현으로 좋아하는 여자에게 고백하는 과정을 재미있고 달콤한 가사로 풀어낸 곡이다. 사랑하는 이에게 속삭이는 듯 표현한 ‘잘 자요’는 미니멀하게 풀어낸 편곡이 매력적인 이기광의 곡이다.

그 어느 앨범보다 멤버들의 참여도가 높고, 한 곡 한 곡 비스트 멤버들의 정성이 깃든 비스트의 정규 3집 앨범 [Highlight]. 타이틀 곡 ‘리본(Ribbon)’으로 잠 못 드는 여름 밤을 아름답게 수 놓을 비스트의 컴백이 기대된다.
