"Materia" is a collaborative album by rapper TORAUMA and beatmaker/rapper Shiso.

Shiso has produced many of TORAUMA's signature tracks, including "Tsubaki", Tsubaki 2", "Abyss", "Paranoia", and "Hibikari (feat. Shuuto)".

In 2023, the track "Tsubaki" went viral on TikTok, reached No.1 on Billboard JAPAN's Heatseekers Songs chart in June, and its music video surpassed 7 million views.

After releasing their previous EP "Arise", named after a full-healing white magic spell, Shiso returned from a period away from music. This album marks their long-awaited reunion. Inspired by their favorite video games, the album was titled "Materia".

In those games, Materia are magical orbs that grant abilities when equipped to weapons. They imagined what it would be like if music worked the same way. Each track is made to be something you can "equip" in your own life, offering strength, comfort, or a spark of power in different moments.

This work started when i know said "I want to rap again" and KK was there at that time and this song was born during a session at his house.

The song is about how even if you are stuck in the moment, you can always start again at your own time, and it is a song that we hope you will listen to in this season of spring when new things begin.
