2016年首张作品《No Burden》过后两年，摇滚女唱将 Lucy Dacus 即将于3月2日经由 Matador 发行第二张专辑《Historian》，以不负各界对其一直以来的一致好评。成长起来的 Dacus 这一次对一些重大议题已经没有了畏惧：无论是关乎生死的思考，还是直抒胸臆的挑战。在十首质量过硬的歌曲之中，有恍然大悟，有含泪宣言，有内心难得的片刻宁静，统统包含在近乎经典的歌词之中——它们似乎都很有可能成为人们的同学录留言，或者第一个纹身。去年3月 Dacus 再度联合制作人 Collin Pastore，与乐队一道在纳什维尔完成了专辑的录制，几个月后又力邀顶级工程师 John Congleton 混音。有了现场吉他手 Jacob Blizard 的加入，也让此次创作的成果较之处女作更具丰富质感。Dacus 本人则认为，自己通过巡演得以有机会每日与陌生人交流，这是一种得来不易的机会，因此她早就下定决心，要在下张唱片中去表达一些最为重要的东西。过去一年美国的人心因大选沉浸在一片萧瑟的氛围中，Dacus 希望让大家看到，“希望不死，即使面对最糟糕的世事”。
