“계단”은 내가 올라온 계단과 그 안에서 겪은 경험을 담은 앨범입니다. 
계단을 오를 때마다 힘이 들지만, 그 힘듦 속에서 새로운 경험을 얻고, 한 걸음씩 더 나아갑니다. 
과거를 돌아보지 않으며, 나는 미래를 향해 끊임없이 올라갑니다. 
모든 경험은 나를 더 높은 곳으로 이끌어주는 중요한 밑거름이 되었고, 그것이 바로 나의 재산입니다.

때로는 기본으로 돌아가서, 가장 중요한 것들을 다시 되새기며 나아가야 한다는 깨달음을 얻었습니다. 
기본적인 가치와 원칙을 다시 생각하며, 실수도 그 자체로 배움이 되고, 그 과정 속에서 성장할 수 있다는 메시지를 담고 있습니다.

“남자라면”이라는 곡에서는 실수를 두려워하지 않고, 그것을 통해 더 나은 미래를 만들겠다는 의지를 표현합니다.
