This song is written with one of my best friends, Justin aka Remiss Youths. Our song is an ode to our friendship. It’s title “as we once were” is something that we’ll reminisce about when we’re older. The song progresses throughout the song but still maintains the fundamental elements - just like us as human beings. We grow into different versions of ourselves but some things will always stay the same about ourselves.

'one last time' express the pain of separation or distance from someone important, along with a yearning to recapture the closeness and happiness that once existed in the relationship. The loneliness, longing and emptiness you feel post-relationship is what this song is all about.

Inflake produced, wrote and even sang on this track about 2 years ago. The words kind of came naturally to him as he sat and wrote it in his humble home-studio. Not really reminiscing about anything in particular, he just wanted to capture the feeling of isolation after being together for so long - a stark contrast between the high energy instrumental.
