I try so hard to see what's ahead

But there's nothing there

What do we have to look forward to

Nothing but fear and hate

You shouldn't have blindfolded us

And killed your urge to create

But with fuel and fire

Mans desire was to kill his own

So I find myself staring straight into the sun

Wondering where it all came from how it all begun

I can hear it's hungry fire calling us back home

I will know myself when my head is in the noose

I will feel myself when there's nothing left to lose

Can I kill myself with this feeling in my heart

Did the love we give each other tear us apart

And gazed upon the world getting smaller below

What made us watch the skies

And see a future home

I think we're fooling ourselves

The definition of nowhere is up here

Our eyes are open but we're just not there

As our minds drift away

Now if this sounds like I'm complaining

Then surely by all means I am

Although there's nothing really wrong with me

I'm breathing and I wake up almost every day

But they kept pushing me around

And I wasn't man enough

To turn a deaf ear to the fear

I can take just a little bit more

And I keep wearing the mask I once wore

No one will ever know about the goblins

While I wore my mask of death

You used to look so wonderful

But I can see the wear and the tear in you

And now I almost can't stand to be around them
