Long ago i used to feel safe beneath this imaginary shield

Big and bright

I stood up straight with confidence that

Nothing bad could ever come inside

The veil is off and now i see the swollen face

And crooked teeth of a world less divine

I battle tears when thoughts of you cross through my mind
