There's a Marlboro man with horn rimmed glasses

Holding up the end of the bar

Yeah he's rubbin' his neck drink in his hand ignoring the band

I've seen him in this place before

She's a fake I D with dirty blonde hair

Sippin' on a Moscow mule

Aah shirt too low skirt too high catchin' the eye

Of every Hefner in the room

And maybe it's just me or is everybody in here

Just as lonely

Or is it just another scene from a corner booth at closing time

On a Tuesday

There's a cellphone man with his tie on the table

Nothin' in his glass but the rocks

Yeah he's watchin' the door checkin' the time checkin' the town

You can almost hear his heart tick tock

Then the door flies open and the breeze blows and then I can see her

Wedding ring you know that it ain't his

And her lipstick is guilty red he pulls her close and they start to dance

They fit right in

And maybe it's just me or is everybody in here

Just as lonely
