Early in the morning she'll be leaving

To visit with her mother for a spell

But I know that's really not the reason

She says she doesn't know how long she's staying

She would never simply leave me

Unless she knew that it was really best

Up till now she has no way of knowing

Tell she puts really leaving to the test

She has got to know for certain

I'm so afraid I'm gonna lose her
