While doing so, he quickly realized his love for all types of music. Soon after, DJ Notoroious developed a passion for hip hop music and the art of turntablism. Knowing early on that he wanted to be a DJ, he immersed himself in the art form wanting to make his dreams become a reality. At 16 he found himself doing local house parties and making mixtapes which is how he caught the ear of a few local club promoters. Notorious's ability and drive ultimately paid off as he emerged throughout Houston's night club scene as the scratch dj, DJ Notorious. Throughout the years, the standard night club and lounge gigs have evolved into events for companies such as Scion Motors, Metropark, Marc Echo Cut & Sew, Rebox, BET and Ann Taylor LOFT to name a few. Most recently, DJ Notorious's love of Hip-Hop and Latino Culture has allowed him to seamlessly transition into being an on-air mixer with Univision Radio's, Tu Musica 104.9 KAMA. During his present tenure at Tu Musica, Notorious has also become an elite member of the Bum Squad Djz and Club World 360 DJ's.
