The Shanghai Restoration Project毕业于哈佛大学的华裔美人梁文伟(Dave Liang)的得意之作，其创作灵感来源于30年代旧上海夜总会中的爵士乐，而在融合了传统中式乐器的基础上，乐曲又被创作人赋予了嘻哈、电子、沙发等西式风格化标签，由此绽放异彩。“The Classics”已是梁在此项目名下发布的第12张作品，本张专辑主要注重对经典上海爵士乐的解构、雕琢与重塑，同时亦不乏诸如“何日君再来”等金曲的改编新唱，借助于上海爵士歌手张乐的女声演绎，加之耐人寻味的歌词，给人耳目一新的别样感受。
