Yuka Nagase, selected as one of Rolling Stone Japan's "Future of Music: Japan Representatives" in 2024, returns with her highly anticipated new album Mofu Mohu.

From the album comes the single hikari - a track that once again earned her a spot on the 2025 "Future of Music" list. The song was written and produced by Shotaro Shimizu, the main composer of kurayamisaka, a rising rock band generating buzz among younger listeners across social media.

For the first time in her career, Yuka Nagase explores a fully live-instrumental sound, crafting a deeply emotional piece rooted in Japanese shoegaze.
Hikari shimmers like a soft light in the dark - delicate, raw, and powerfully human.
