Singer-Songwriter

그간 제가 발매했던 자작곡들과 새로운 곡으로 채워진 EP입니다. 제 음악은 어떤 색깔인지 저조차도 헷갈리던 순간이 있었습니다. 처음 통기타를 치며 부르던 포크 음악부터 시티팝과 R&B에 이르기까지 다양한 장르를 불러왔던 것 같아요. 시간이 지나고 뒤돌아보니 제가 쓴 노래와 이야기들이 저라는 사람의 인격적인 성장과 함께 커왔다는 걸 느낄 수 있었습니다. 물론 제 음악을 들어주신 팬분들과 함께 만들어준 동료들 덕분이지만요. 그렇게 곡마다 저라는 사람의 냄새가 나기 시작한 것 같아요. 그래서 앞으로도 저의 색깔을 잃지 않고 지금처럼 음악으로 이야기를 들려드려야겠다는 다짐을 하며 EP의 이름을 'Singer-Songwriter'라고 지어봤습니다. 새로 쓴 곡은 ‘어디든 가자’라는 곡입니다. 제가 누군가에게 해주는 말이라기보다 다른 이에게 '어디든 가자'라는 말을 들었을 때의 기억으로 만들게 되었습니다. 어차피 험난한 세상이지만 그럼에도 누군가에게 기댈 수 있고 작지만 용기를 낼 수 있는 힘이 생겼던 기억이 있습니다. 들어주시는 분들께서도 ‘어디든 가자’라는 제 외침이 위로가 되었으면 좋겠네요. 너무 좋아하는 동료들과 함께 만들 수 있어서 행복했습니다.
