Punk rock legends Rise Against will release a special rarities collection titled Long Forgotten Songs : B-Sides & Covers 2000-2013 on September 10. It’ll include songs from Rise Against’s career that did not end up on any of their studio albums.

    Rise Against是一支來自美國芝加哥的Punk rock樂隊，由主唱Tim McIlrath和前88 Fingers Louie樂隊的貝斯手喬·普林斯皮（Joe Principe）聯合組建。很快，另一位吉他手丹·普萊西仁（Dan Precision）和鼓手布蘭登·巴恩斯（Brandon Barnes）就宣佈加入了Rise Against樂隊。憑藉自身實力，Rise Against在不久之後就得到了Fat Wreck Chords公司的一紙合約。2001年8月，Rise Against發行了簽約Fat Wreck Chords之後的第一張專輯《The Unraveling》。同年，吉他手Dan Precision宣佈離開，Todd Mohney加入Rise Against，代替了Precision的位置。

《The Sufferer & The Witness (Explicit)》是Rise Against將朋克搖滾內核與人文關懷完美熔鑄的里程碑。專輯以極具衝擊力的三和絃架構起情緒張力，疾速鼓點和暴烈吉他聲牆下包裹着對個體困境的深層凝視——無論是《Injection》高度壓縮的旋律爆發力，還是《Prayer of the Refugee》裏描繪的社會邊緣圖景，都彰顯着樂隊標誌性的躁動良知。這張作品在犀利嘶吼與旋律性間達成精妙平衡，既延續硬核朋克的粗糲質地，又通過《The Approaching Curve》等敍事性曲目展現多維度的創作野心。當主唱Tim McIlrath在聲帶撕裂般的演繹中叩問生存本質時，那些關於掙扎、覺醒與救贖的命題便化作穿透靈魂的聲波圖騰。

2005年，Rise Against參加電影《Lords of Dogtown》的拍攝,在其中飾演了一支來自加州的old-school朋克樂隊。而在這部電影的原聲碟中,Rise Against樂隊也貢獻了一首翻唱傳奇硬核朋克樂隊“黑旗”（Black Flag）的歌曲《Nervous Breakdown》。2005年夏,Rise Against一直都在馬不停蹄的巡演中度過,其中包括八月份在英國Reading and Leeds音樂節中的精彩演出。2006年7月4日,Rise Against第四張正式專輯《The Sufferer & the Witness》面世。專輯發行首周的銷量達到4萬8千張,排在本週Billboard 200專輯榜的第十位,創造了Rise Against樂隊打榜的最好成績。
