124 FollowersAhmad Jamal于1930年7月2号出生在匹兹堡，50年代开始进入爵士乐坛，他是很有特色的钢琴手。Ahmad Jamal擅长运用时间的空白来架构出音乐的创意，意思就是指他好像小喇叭手Miles Davis那样，运用较少的音符而能够表示最多的意义。 11岁时开始有演出机会，40年代时他加入George Hudson的大乐队，1951年组织三重奏，团员有吉他手Ray Crawford以及贝斯手Eddie Calhoun。1958年的专辑Ahmad Jamal at the Pershing，是很精采的，其中有名曲 "Poinciana"至今仍很受欢迎。1962年，他的三重奏解散，不过他仍是持续在成长，70年代他开始使用电子钢琴来演奏。
