Mandla Daniel Mofokeng - Kwaito Musician, Singer & Producer Born on 11 September 1967 Meadowlands, Soweto, South Africa, Mandla Daniel Mofokeng is a Kwaito Musician and Singer who is professionally known as "Spikiri". In 1985, Spikiri began his career as a dancer under the charge of South African musician Sello "Chicco" Twala. Following this, Spikiri formed a disco group in 1988 which was named MM De Luxe with friend M'du Masilela. It was in the years 1989 and 1990 that the duo MM De Luxe recorded two albums with which the group achieved success and got launched in the kwaito township. Spikiri Releases, Hits & Achievements The passion of the singer for music led him to take admission to Fuba Music School in the year 1991 for studying engineering as well as piano. In the late 1990s, the singer Spikiri started producing music for the likes of Chimera, Kamazu, Senyaka, and Fatty Boom Boom who is better known as Tsekeleke. This Kwaito artist is also a founder member of the seminal kwaito group known as Trompies, which has released several numbers of albums, few of which are also considered as the classics of the genre. Spikiri is also a founder member as well as co-director of the influential record label named as Kalawa Jazzmee, which has released many well-known kwaito artists, such as Boom Shaka, Bongo Muffin, Alaska, B.O.P (Brothers of Peace), Thebe, and many more.
