Kazusa

1989年生まれ。2003年にクラブミュージックに出会い、同時期にトラックメイクを開始。 Nhato、Taishi、Arkらと共に2006年に「evola records」を立ち上げ、国内のトランス・プログレッシヴシーンの黎明期より海外のサウンドにフォーカスを合わせた楽曲を発表し始める。当時から重厚なトラックの上に淡く透き通る音色をエモーショナルに織り重ねる作風を確立し、国外のリスナーからも支持を獲得。やがてロシアのプログレッシヴハウスアーティストMangoの目に留まり、2009年にSilk Digital傘下のレーベル「Mango Alley」より「Good Morning Track (Kazusa Remix)」をリリースし海外デビュー。以後もMango、Shingo Nakamuraとのコラボレーション楽曲に加え、Silk、Arrival、Protonといった海外の代表的なプログレッシヴハウスレーベルよりオリジナル、リミックスを数多く発表して来た。これらはArmin van Buuren、Jaytech、Dinka、Max Grahamらのサポートを受けた他、Shingo Nakamuraとのコラボレーショントラック「Dice」は、Solarstoneがコンパイルしたミックスアルバム「Electronic Architecture 2」に収録された。 そして制作活動を開始して10年目の節目となった2013年よりOtographic Musicに加入。「Nhato - Etude (Remixes)」にてリミックスワークを手掛け、BeatportのProgressive Houseリリースチャートで2位を獲得。また「Masanori Yasuda - Kalos Eidos (Remixes)」にもリミックスを提供しており今後一層精力的な活動が期待される。 Kazusa was born in 1989, and came across making electronic music in 2003. In 2006 he founded a small label “evola records” with Nhato and Taishi, and began to release tracks with focusing on forefront EDM styles in Europe. Later, Kazusa established his own style that is characterized by slow-burning grooves and watery synth layers with emotional ambiences. In 2009, Mango from Russia found Kazusa’s exceptional talent then Kazusa was elected as a remixer of Mango’s “Good Morning Track” which made his debut outside Japan. After that, Kazusa have been releasing originals/remixes on key labels like Silk, Arrival, Proton and collaborating with Shingo Nakamura and Mango. These have been getting warm supports by Armin van Buuren, Jaytech, Dinka, Max Graham. Especially the collaboration track with Shingo Nakamura “Dice” was included in Solarstone’s compilation album “Electronic Architecture 2”. In 2013, Kazusa enters the 10-years career and joins Otographic Music. Soon after from joining he successively released remixes for Nhato and Masanori Yasuda and got #2 on the Beatport Progressive House Top 100 Releases. Now Kazusa is one of the promising artists from Japan in the field of progressive/deep house.
