Hayd, real name Hayden Hubers, is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter hailing from Michigan. he picked up the piano by ear at the age of three. Within a few years, he could play songs from the radio by ear. In between countless hours on the instrument, he wrote and read nonstop. At his high school’s annual talent show, he showcased his songwriting by performing an original every year to overwhelming applause. Sharing an aunt with Quinn XCII, he met the artist at a family reunion and left inspired. “We were just kicking the soccer ball around, and I realized, ‘He’s a totally normal and cool guy. If he can do it, I might as well try it too’,” he recalls.
