Seems to me that swing is king

And if that is so

I would like to know

What is this thing called swing

When I hear a tune try to sing it

In a croonin' voice like Bing

But the band gets hot

And I'm on the spot

I've sought assistance

From homes and filo fans

They told me in advance they too proclaim it

But simply can't explain it
