Can you see me hanging *****from the tree

I was sacrificed for everyone to see

Threefold is the birch tree where I hang

Beside me hangs the body of a woman

We are heroes turned to tyrants by the chaste

They are legion watching closely in distaste

Resentment forms the soul of every man

Liberation is the crime for which we hang

We are sentenced for the good of humankind

We are murdered for the visions of the blind

Others will emerge from our descent

For perfection reprimanded and condemned

In the sunset of another fading day

We are tarnished condescended and displayed

There is poison in the heart of humankind

Unforgiving is the sentence of the blind
