In the sweltering sun-drenched lands of Tempe, AZ, three midwestern lads smoldering from the heat, joined together to form the Voltronic band-Baraka. Formed in early 2003, featuring members from Tempe's own Phatty Acids and Minneapolis based bands Pharoah's Dance and BokoMaru. BARAKA was one of the finalists in 2003's "Battle of the Jams," as promoted by Intelligroove. They have shared stages with such national touring acts as Particle, Signal Path, Jeremy Sole, BLVD, Captain Solarcat, The Big Organ Trio, Amandla (feat.
