Isobel Campbell是著名英国独立摇滚乐队Belle & Sebastian的前成员（歌手与大提琴手）、乐队创始人之一。其间她以The Gentle Waves这个个人化身先后在1999年及2000年出版过两张专辑《Green Fields Foreverland》和《Swansong For You》。脱离Belle & Sebastian后，她的第一个以本名发表的Project，是与爵士琴手Bill Wells合作的专辑《Ghosts Of Yesterday》；一年多后，她才正式以本名Isobel Campbell带来了其糅合著古典室乐与爵士乐薰陶的首张个人专辑《Amorino》。2006年，Isobel并未急于出版她的第二张个人专辑《Milk White Sheets》，反之她先带来的是其另一个Collaborative Project——与Mark Lanegan合作的《Ballad of the Broken Seas》。
