Olivia Gray is certainly one of the most interesting singer/songwriters in contemporary pop music around. Her unique and sensual voice has been described as ravishingly captivating and sensuously breathtaking. This together with her exceptional songwriting and excellent arrangements make her music stand out so much out of the ordinary.Born into a family of painters and actresses Olivia Gray was soon to take up an artistical and creative career. She soon started taking Guitar lessons. Still in her teens she decided to go to London and studied at the Cambridge University to get herself a degree in English Literature. With this background she enrolled at the C.A.F.A.D. (Central Academy Of Film Art And Drama) in London which she left with the finishing diploma.She also got more involved in songwriting. It was during a recording session that Producer Willy Viteka impressed by Olivia's voice - decided to record some demos.Together with some outstanding musicians like Terry Britten (who wrote Tina Turner's hit "What's Love got To Do With It"), Alan Tarney ("We don't talk anymore") Graham Jarvis, Nigel Jenkins, Anthony Clark and in her later recordings with producer Ian Lynn who engaged for her Album "Temptation" top musicians from the English scene who worked together with top-acts like Tina Turner, Cliff Richard, Paul Young, A-ha, Sheena Easton, U-2, Brian Ferry, Bruce Hornsby.Olivia Gray's songs have been recorded by a whole series of international top artists such as Telly Savalas ("Kojak") for whom she wrote the follow-up single "Put Your Head Down Tonight" to his number one top hit "Some Broken Hearts"), Milva, Francesco Napoli, Los Picos, Paco Aguilera (former member of the "Gipsy Kings and head of the well-known spanish group "Los Rollin" who topped the charts with their most original pop-rumba versions of Beatles Hits) to name only a few.She also wrote recently with the exception of two songs all titles for the new album for Los Bravos - "Midnight Storm" - who had a worldwide hit in the 60s with the song "BLACK IS BLACK". She also sings two duets on this album with Mike Kennedy, the lead singer of the group.Olivia also participated in some of the biggest song festivals in the world like the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, the World Song Contest in Korea and twice at the well-known Festival in Viña de Mar, Chile, where she performed her captivating song "Nobody wants to be lonely" for a live audience of 40'000 people and over 400 million TV viewers. She also did a video-clip of this song. After her success iin Chile Sony signed a recording contract with Olivia for the whole of Latin America. Shortly after this she recorded her first album in Spanish - "Tentación".The single "In The Morning Light" became one of her biggest successes and became an international hit. The Dutch Film Academy chose the songs amongst hundred of songs to make a video clip which was shown by TV stations all over the world.Olivia realised the extraordinary project "Fründe-Friends" with 17 well-known Swiss artists like DJ Tatana, Andreas Vollenweider, Marc Storace (Krokus), Natacha, John Brack, Tony Vescoli, Peter Reber etc.The single with 3 different versions as well as a video-clip was released in January 2005 as the official Charity-Song in aid of the victims of the Tsunami catastrophe. It stayed in the Swiss charts for over 3 months and was the most successful Swiss charity song.Her new English album "Release my soul" as well as a new Spanish album entitled "Ritmo del amor" will be released in 2007.There will be different versions of her latest Latin-Pop singles "Te Quiero" and "Ritmo del amor" on both albums.
