Peter Kater（彼得·凯特），著名配乐大师、作曲家、钢琴家，在电视、电影、戏剧以及音乐唱片等领域都取得了卓越的成绩。Peter Kater出生在德国，在他四岁时从慕尼黑搬迁到新泽西州，并在那里开始学习钢琴，三年后学习古典音乐和摇滚乐。十八岁时迁到Boulder并成立了earthsea音乐工作室，1983年起Peter Kater开始出唱片。他参与超过70部电视与电影原声配乐，包括11部在百老汇或是其他剧幕的演奏，至今已发行了三十多张专辑，多次获得格莱美提名，在2003-2010年获得6次格莱美最佳新世纪音乐大奖提名，并且许多专辑都获得白金级销售。
