2015年7月10日，周杰伦与昆凌的女儿出生。2015年10月14日晚，昆凌首度晒出女儿正面的近照，并与丈夫周杰伦一起发文感叹女儿一天天长大，希望女儿无忧无虑的长大。2016年01月01日晚，昆凌放送Hathaway正面照。同时，“小周周”的英文名“Hathaway”也首度曝光。英文名字含意“Hannah（昆凌）+thaw（融化）+Jay（周杰伦)=Hathaway”。 《前世情人》是Hathaway四个月大时弹奏出来的，词曲创作者周杰伦的创作动机是周杰伦爱女Hathaway即兴弹出的几个音符，给了他灵感，而创作出这首《前世情人》。这也是他写给女儿的第一首歌曲，而也正是这些零散的音符，最终刺激了周杰伦的创作欲，并“补全”了整首作品。
