On August 1st, 2011, to the delight of their rapidly growing fan-base, the St Louis based rock band Greek Fire announced they were finally releasing an album. The band, enjoying a massive buzz and riding high on a wave of radio success in the midwest, (their single “Doesn’t Matter Anyway” is currently the #1 most played and requested song at 105.7 The Point) are finally giving eager fans something to listen to:

"We’ve decided to release an album independently of any record label, mainly because we are only interested in signing a deal if we know that we will be surrounded by passionate people who share the same vision as us. Greek Fire is a long term plan. A master plan. So it has to be the right fit with the right label and we are holding out until then. In the meantime, instead of making people wait any longer for a Greek Fire album, we decided to independently release an album of songs that we feel best represent who we are and where we are heading. No more waiting. We know there are people out there that have been waiting for an album since our first show. Thank you for sticking with us! We needed to grow and evolve and sweat and self evaluate. We needed to dig deep and discover ourselves. We needed time. So thank you. Who knows what the future will hold, but i promise you this: This album is just the first of many.
