九首歌不多，但却花了一年半的时间精心制作。从潜入深海化身魔鬼鱼，到漂浮在无尽宇宙的放逐，困在错落空间里无限延伸的潘洛斯阶梯，面朝星空沉入地球蓝，再掉进通向深渊般的黑洞之中…绘制出了宏大却又细腻的独特世界观。每一首歌都像是一场电影，把听众带进另一个时空，跟随着她的旅程，迷失旋转拉扯撕裂再重组。刘柏辛将 “Meta Ego”翻译为“无限意识”。为什么选取了“形而上”这样一个哲学名词？她说：“我是一个在音乐上很自我的人，在做音乐的时候我很难控制住不陷入一种自恋情绪之中，可能这跟我认同的世界观和主观唯心主义也有一定的关系，在音乐中我也经常会被关于“自我”和“存在”的意义所启发，从我的第一张专辑2029到现在的Meta Ego，“Ego”一直是我的音乐中很重要的议题。Meta Ego可以被译为“无限意识”，也就是持续变化的，不断超越的自我意识。我时常被贴上各种各样的标签，我从不认为这些标签纸能定义我，在审视这些标签的同时，我也一直在寻找自我的路上。在这张专辑里，我作为末日前最后一个幸存的人类带着地球上的植物上了太空，住进了魔鬼鱼的身体在星辰海洋之间畅游，在四维空间的迷宫里爬上无限循环的潘洛斯阶梯，在霓虹光下的未来城里为一个危险奢靡的灵魂而痴狂，潜入蓝色海底找到通向新世界起源的大门...似乎这些疯狂的冒险都是在寻找着什么却无疾而终，但结束旅程之后却更了解自己。可能有的人会说，这些经历都不是“真的”，但在途中因为我强烈,真实的感受，我相信这些都已经客观地发生过, 只是不在这一个时空。在筹备这张专辑的一年半时间里，我经历了一个彻底的打碎再重建自我的过程。经过反复打磨和筛选后的九首歌，每首歌都像一堆镜子碎片，照射了从各个角度出发，在不同时间空间，各异样貌的“我”，拼凑成了一个多面切割的钻石形状，希望其中有一面或者多面能照射到每个听众的内心。在这个具有无限可能性的世界里，自我的潜能也是无限的，你也可以自由地成为你想成为的任何，跨越国界，语言，物种，时间，空间，你的存在根本不需要被定义。” 拒绝了美国厂牌的邀约，不想被商业化摆布，随着这张专辑的发行，刘柏辛宣告着自己独立小工作室的成立。这个年仅20岁的女孩，再一次让世界看到了中国新一代独立创作人的无限能量。 "I am a Narcissist when it comes to music. I am not afraid to admit that because I like to be authentic to myself. In this upcoming album, “Meta" means a state of constant change, and “Meta Ego” is about my constantly evolving view of “self.” In this album, I broke through from all the labels others have put on me, and tried to define the most authentic me, which is multi-faceted, and always progressing. In this album, I have gone to space as the last human, traveled in the fourth dimension, fallen in love in a future metropolis with a dangerous being, lived in a Manta Ray’s body, dived into the ocean and found an exit to a beginning of a new world and so on. Sounds crazy, right? They might be metaphorical, but the feelings are real. I believe I might have actually been to those places, just not in this time and space. Every track is a fragment of my reflection. This whole album is a collection of these fragments, and made into a diamond-shaped entity of which hopefully you can see yourself on one side."
