A native of Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state in Brazil, Luiz Carlos Borges has been a professional musician since the age of 9. He has had an award-winning 50-year career as a singer, songwriter and accordion player in which he released over 30 albums. Aside from delighting audiences in Brazil, Argentina, the United States and Israel, he has teamed up with national and international musicians including Mercedes Sosa, Raulito Barboza, Dominguinhos, Renato Borghetti, Antonio Tarragó Ros, Leon Gieco, Humberto Gessinger, Yamandú Costa, Mercedes Sosa, Almir Sater, Nenhum de Nós, Luiz Gonzaga, Sérgio Reis, Sivuca, Fátima Guedes and Maria Rita. For this single, Borges invited his trusted musical partners Rodrigo Maia on bass and Yuri Menezes on acoustic guitar. The result is a lively instrumental piece in Borges' traditional Gaucho style.
