DISEASE 的主题是 「那天晚上手机没电所以必须享受街道」。因为这个微小的意外，发现自己对手机成瘾、对社群成瘾，并对加速到难以掌握的当代生活型态产生各种恐惧。作为鹤The Crane 第二张专辑的先行单曲，在乐器录制上耗费许多心力，希望透过类比合成器的堆叠，揣摩出八零年代初期的 Disco 声响。

〈雪屋 / IGLOOOO〉来自 The Crane 于六月发行的新专辑《Same Stories, Different Narratives》，与 moon tang 共同演绎。描述冰天雪地里的反派主人翁，思念着在热带生活的心仪对象。

历时两年，鹤 The Crane 完成了他的第二张专辑『Same Stories, Different Narratives』，意即为「相同故事，不同叙事」。

从上古神话、寓言、经文，到近代小说、电影、甚至是网络文章，无数的故事重复着相似的爱恨情仇，彷彿只要神话仍被流传，人类的生活就还乘载着相似的情节，不只彼此心领神会，甚至能从中获得新的感动，这便是这张专辑的主旨。

『Same Stories, Different Narratives』是有关一个反派角色的爱恨情仇，这个反派依旧叫做 The Crane，但他的身影穿梭在错乱的年代，只有透过实体黑胶的内容才能拼凑出它粗略的样貌。

先行单曲「VILLAIN」显然是反派的主题曲，「我成为故事中的坏人，好让你得到如雷掌声」，或许也引导出了感情中的另一种「不同叙事」。对错永远没有得到解答的一天，但此时的我肯定站在了你的对面。

「TRUST」始于一声枪响，而这颗子弹落在了过于嘈杂的鸟声中。主角对同类痛下毒手，这场戏显然是关于受到背叛的愤怒感。

这便是属于The Crane的「恨」。

「雪屋 / IGLOOOO」则象是冰天雪地里的晨光，而 moon tang 的声音就是那道暖阳。在这座雪屋里，主角孤身一人，想象在世界彼端的热带，有着自己向往的生活条件，以及得以交付自我的对象。

若我告诉妳，妳就在我「心脏的右边」，那这样算是占有吗？与魏如萱的合作曲，是这张专辑最脆弱的角落。仅仅知道明天就能相见，对我仍不足够。希望魔法能让今晚变得特别短，好让我们提早见面。

到此即是属于The Crane的「爱」。

如果「Same Story」和「Different Narrative」是这本书的封套，「take it or leave it」则象是书签，纪录着写到一个段落，书中的内容，与此时握笔的我所相呼应的地方。可说是：以前的我总那样那样，现在的我可以这样这样，如此如此。

步行在生命旅途的时间愈长，愈会发现此刻的自己，无意间踏的皆是前人的路、领会前人的领会。有些人看地图、有些人看天象，有些人则另辟蹊径、期望开疆辟土，而回过头来，一切都成为了新的故事，却又彷彿预言一般，完成一场命运的安排，而后便成为历史。

After two years of preparation, The Crane returns with his second concept album Same Stories, Different Narratives. 

From ancient mythologies and fables to modern novels and films, humanity has always told tales of love and hate, betrayal and redemption — stories that echo through time. Yet each generation finds new ways to tell them, to feel them. This album is The Crane’s own narrative. Here, he steps into the role of a villain — revealing his inner struggles with resentment, “DISEASE”, “TRUST”, and of course, love.
"VILLAIN" is the theme song of the antagonist — "I died so you could get that loud applause" — perhaps revealing yet another “different narrative” within a relationship. Right and wrong may never be clearly answered, but at this moment, it’s crystal clear that one is standing on the opposite side of the other.
The lead single, “Right Side of My Heart”, features renowned singer waa Wei, blending Classical Pop sounds with the bittersweet emotions of a blooming yet distant affection.

Another highlight of the album, “IGLOOOO”, featuring moon tang, tells the story of a solitary figure living in an igloo, dreaming of tropical warmth and the woman he longs for, in this upbeat alternative R&B groove.

The starting and ending track “Same Story” and “Different Narrative” encapsulates the whole album like the covers of a journal in use. The tracks end but The Crane’s journaling has not. Through the tip of his pen, turns the leaving present to the past, and the future to the present. Synchronizing his thoughts and emotions with the listener through the album, and becoming a fresh part of the forever told story.

Same Stories, Different Narratives

「VILLAIN」作为The Crane第二张专辑的前导单曲，以另类摇滚的曲式展现The Crane的不同风貌。歌曲讲述一段已然瓦解的感情，「我成为故事中的坏人，好让你得到如雷掌声」如同当代人公诸于世的感情生活，事情见仁见智，但总有人得担任反派。

灵感来自网路知名语录「就算是再好的人，只要有在好好努力，在某人的故事里也会变成坏人。」——漫画「猫之寺的知恩姐」。The Crane在2024年的一则社群影片中撷取了该语录，并延伸创作出「VILLAIN」这首歌，如今配合新专辑将其完整呈现。

作为新专辑的第二首前导单曲，The Crane 以对复古未来的想像，结合电影感的叙事手法，讲述一段长久仍炙热的感情。

如果说每一个抉择都将开启一段截然不同的未来，那么能够一路漂漂亮亮地走到这里，肯定也是一种才华。

「TALENT」作为 The Crane 的第一张专辑，是一幅此刻原真的静态截图，也是集其28年成长岁月的奇幻录像。飞行过程象是潜入他意外梦见的过往，时序偶有人工动刀的迹象；若感觉一气呵成，则并非偶然，天秤座爱面子，方方面面皆是精雕细琢。偶遇乱流波荡、风景变换之处，则是内心实话浮现的词句。

「TALENT」也是气宇轩昂的宣告之作，有细节斐然的复古曲目「Natural Ability」，以扎实的器乐致敬七零年代灵魂乐；有与 ØZI 合作的残暴屠龙之歌「The Dragon Song」，气焰逼人、实则为兄弟打闹；也有「不介意」这样漫不经心的时髦情歌，表情不怎么样，心里早就爱得死去活来。

The Crane 一如往常地包办音乐制作，也几乎编写了全部曲目。不同的是这张专辑多了许多真实乐器的录制，更邀请落日飞车的贝斯手弘礼、热带浪漫鼓手雷擎、JADE 的吉他手鲁纲宇、Karencici 的制作人kvn等人，分别在不同曲目跨刀演奏，将 The Crane 的音乐又抬升到了新的云层。

「如果一切的经历都是为了让我走到这，早知道用飞的」但后悔的心情让人不再犯错，先唱衰自己再让别人看得起你，我偏不要，连这篇专辑介绍都是自己写的？？这场惊人的内心戏，一步步都是险棋，却准备对你的痒处一路暴击。

“If every choice will unfold itself to a different reality, then getting to where I am must be some kind of talent.”

As The Crane’s first album, TALENT is a faithful capture of his current status, also a magical culmination of 28 years living. The album feels like stepping into his memory lane by accident, but maybe it’s not. It’s definitely not a coincidence that the listening experience feels “natural”, that’s what perfection-seeking Libras love to do. 

When you feel the turbulence, the change in the music, those are the unfiltered thoughts that came to The Crane’s mind.

TALENT is also a statement piece, with “Natural Ability” filled with nostalgia and talented instrumentalists on the track, the track pays tribute to The Crane’s beloved Soul Music in the seventies. The collaboration track with ØZI “The Dragon Song”, while sounding braggadocious, turns out to be just brothers having fun. There’s also chic love songs like “Don’t Mind” for you to pretend you don’t care, even if you're already in love.

The Crane finished everything from writing to production as usual in this album, the difference is in trying to capture more live instruments in the studio this time, inviting bassist Hung-Li from Sunset Rollercoaster, drummer L8ching, guitarist Kyle Lu from JADE, kvn the producer of Karencici, showing their talents on different tracks, elevating The Cranes music to another level.

The Crane refuses to stick himself to a genre he’s already known for, walking on a tightrope while treading new musical territories. He’s never playing the “be humble just to likable” game, always aiming at what you are yearning to listen to, and giving you the headshot.
