‘Renmin Park’, the first of four albums in what Cowboy Junkies have termed the ‘Nomad Series’ is now available for purchase via their independent label, Latent Recordings. An eclectic, low-fi release in the vain of the Junkies early work, their website describes the song cycle as ‘inspired by a three month stay that Mike’s family had in China, an other-worldly experience. The album [is] comprised of all new original material except for two cover songs written by a couple of legends on the Chinese music scene.’
