큐브의 프로젝트 그룹 ‘트리플 H’! 현아·후이·이던만이 보여줄 수 있는 느낌적인 느낌, [REtro Futurism] 작년 5월, 많은 기대와 관심 속에 첫 등장했던 ‘트리플 H’가 약 1년 만에 두 번째 미니 앨범으로 돌아온다. ‘트리플 H’는 독보적인 여성 솔로 현아와 최근 ‘빛나리’로 작곡·작사 실력을 인정받음은 물론 역주행의 신화까지 이뤄낸 그룹 펜타곤의 후이, 이던 세 멤버로 구성된 큐브의 프로젝트 그룹이다. 이번 앨범을 통해 매번 새로운 음악과 퍼포먼스에 도전하며 그녀만의 섹시함과 트렌디한 감각을 보여왔던 현아와, 데뷔 초부터 펜타곤 앨범에 직접 참여하며 신선하고 남다른 음악적 재능을 증명해온 후이와 이던의 더욱 더 막강해진 시너지 효과를 보여줄 예정이다. 타이틀 곡 ‘RETRO FUTURE’는 말 그대로 Retro 스타일의 곡으로, 1950년대와 1960년대의 우주개발 시대와 함께 성행했던 미래주의의 영향을 보여주는 창작 예술의 경향인 Retro-futurism에서 영감을 받았다. 빠르게 변화하고 모두가 따라 하는 현재의 유행보다는 예전의 것에서 새로운 멋을 찾아 새로운 청춘을 표현하고자 하는 데서 비롯되었다. 이 그룹의 특색이자 장점인 현아와 이던의 특유의 개성 있는 스타일의 가사와 후이 만의 음색이 잘 드러나는 곡이다. 첫 번째 트랙 ‘느낌’은 멤버 이던의 자작곡으로 ‘멋이라는 것이 폭발’이라는 가사 그대로 세 멤버의 멋짐을 보여주고자 한다. 항상 느낌 있는 멋을 추구하는 트리플 H의 정체성을 잘 담아낸 곡이다. 세 번째 트랙 ‘Show ME’는 이성에게 첫 눈에 반했을 때를 그린 곡으로, 후렴부에 자신감 있게 Show me!를 외치는 모습과 이던의 타이트한 랩이 돋보인다. . 개성 넘치는 세 멤버들의 두 번째 미니앨범 [REtro Futurism]! 올 여름, 보는 즐거움은 물론 듣는 즐거움까지 책임질 ‘트리플 H’의 무대가 기다려진다. K-POP’s irreplaceable female artist, HYUNA and two members of PENTAGON, HUI and E’DAWN, joined their forces to form “Triple H, a three-member project group from CUBE Entertainment. As PENTAGON’s two creative minds for their self-written song, “SHINE”, showed strong presence in charts this year, it is very much expected that these triple threats will amplify its synergy to next level. Lead single “RETRO FUTURE” is a self-explanatory Retro style song, inspired by the 50’s~60’s Retro-futurism: The creative arts showing the influence of depictions of the future produced in an earlier era. The group wanted to portray youth influenced by the new swag from the past and not from the current trend that everyone follows. Check out unique lyrics written by HYUNA and E’DAWN and unforgettable voice of HUI. The first track of EP “Feel” is written by E’DAWN. Like “Coolness to the max” written in the lyrics, this song shows off three members’ strength. It can be said that the song contains Triple H’s identity. Third track “Show ME” sings about the love-at-first-sight moment where the chorus shouts “Show me!” and E’DAWN’s tight rap stands out. Second EP presented by the Triple Threats, [REtro Futurism]!
