Punipunidenki is set to release their new EP Sugar Alliance on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Centered around the theme Even bitter poison is okay with a sugar coating, the EP features three tracks of dystopian-inspired soft jazz and pop. These include the resilient bossa nova anthem for misfits, Sugar Alliance, the tender From the 3rd Utopia  Private ver. which offers a prayer for an endless journey, and the elegant waltz At the Lakeside, where two souls bound by unbreakable threads gracefully sink into the depths. 

All songs were written, composed, and arranged by Punipunidenki. The EP also features guest pianist Takeru Yamazaki. The cover illustration is by illustrator and manga artist Mokeo. 

Digital distribution will follow on Wednesday, May 7 via Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming platforms.

Sugar Alliance

A singer and music producer, known for hits like "My Queen" and "Zurukunai?", has been making waves across streaming platforms. Predominantly online, this artist creates music rooted in Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Latin, while collaborating across genres like J-POP, City Pop, and Future Bass. They have achieved global collaborations with artists like MACROSS 82-99 and NightTempo, while in Japan, they've worked with 80KIDZ and Pasocom Music Club, expanding Japanese music culture. They produce conceptual albums and have collaborated with music games and craft beer brands. In 2022, they released their 1st album "Sogyo (Founding)." Alongside hardware designer Mechikuro, they host the podcast "LAUNDRY 4:00AM," exploring various creative topics.

Sound inspired by BossaNova, bebop, and other Jazz influences, all lyrics, music, and arrangements are by Punipunidenki. 
The cover art is by pop artist F*Kaori, and the design is by Yusuke Shibata (soda design).
