《竹林中》是克丽丝叮2013年在台师大念书的时候写的歌曲。这首歌的写作过程非常有故事性。克丽丝叮表示：「我人在海外，失去了表哥和阿姨，当时很哀伤也不知道怎么去表达我的情绪。因为对我来说爬山是疗愈活动，所以我决定去单独爬台北的象山，在半途遇到了竹林就停下来了，写了一首古诗。后来我把它改编成一首歌，也把自弹自唱的画面发表在Youtube上。」竹林被风吹过的时候会发出吱吱嘎嘎的声响，犹如悲伤的呻吟。就算竹林中只剩下你一个人，竹子的暗影似乎可以唤出你思念的那个人。克丽丝叮采用如此的概念，带领朋友去拍《竹林中》正式的MV。他们在孟宗古战场拍摄。夜间空山很恐怖，不过克丽丝叮的歌声点亮了整个竹林。
